I wait.

In a crowded room, I wait for you to come. To silence the ears and pull back the shades.

In a crowded room, I wait for you to seclude it. To immerse it with your clouded beauty.

In a crowded room, I wait for you to surprise the unsuspecting guests. To devote the lonely shadows to wandering eyes.

In a crowded room, I wait for you to drown out the music. To place the unseen serenity in clear view of the senses.

In a crowded room, I wait for you to take the last faulty impression. To interpret everything in the mind’s eye.

In a crowded room, I wait for you alone. To take away my anticipation, to race my heart.
